Florfenicol is antibiotic broad-spectrum  effective against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria

Florfenicol is a bactericide with a wide chemotherapeutic spectrum and is a member of the quinolone group of

compounds. The use of florfenicol is indicated for enteral and systemic infections caused by Enterobacteriaceae

and pasteurella spp. Specific indications for calves are: Respiratory tract infections caused by pasteurella spp and

salmonella spp; enteritis caused by salmonella spp and E.coli. Specific indications for pigs are: Respiratory tract

infections caused by Pasteurella spp and actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae; Specific indications for poultry are:

Respiratory tract infections caused by Pasteurella multocida

Each 1 ml contains

Florfenicol: 300 mg

For subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.

Cattle:

Treatment (IM) : 1 ml per 15 kg body weight, twice at a 48-h interval.

Treatment (SC) : 2 ml per 15 kg body weight, administered once.

The injection should only be given in the neck. The dose should not exceed 10 ml per injection site.

Swine : 1 ml per 20 kg body weight (IM), twice at a 48-hour interval.

Pigs: 14 days Chicken: 28 days
