MEDECOX is a type of ionophore drug that works by inhibiting the development of coccidia in the animal’s intestine.

Indications

MEDECOX is used in the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in various farm animals and poultry, including cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, and rabbits. It is particularly effective in preventing outbreaks of coccidiosis in young animals that are susceptible to the disease.

Composition

Each 1 gm contains:
Decoquinate 10 mg

Dosage

For oral administration via feed or drinking water.
Broiler chickens: 25 to 125 gm per ton of feed.
Turkeys: 25 to 62.5 gm per ton of feed.
Cattle: 7.5-10 gm per 100 kg bodyweight.
Sheep, goats: 40 gm per 40 kg bodyweight.
Mixed with feed, the product should be used immediately.
Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
