MEDICALIN powder is a veterinary medicine that is used in the treatment of bacterial infections in farm animals and poultry. Lincomycin is a lincosamide antibacterial agent that is effective against a range of gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., and Clostridium spp.
Indications
In veterinary medicine, MEDICALIN powder is typically administered orally to cattle, pigs, and poultry. It is used to treat respiratory tract infections, gastrointestinal tract infections, and skin and soft tissue infections.
Composition
Each 1 gm contains:
Lincomycin 400 mg
Dosage
For oral administration via drinking water.
Poultry: 1000 gm per 4000 litres of drinking water for 3-5 days.
For cattle is 1 gm/40 kg body weight, once or twice daily for 3-5 days.
