Colistin is an antibiotic with bactericidal action against Gram-negative bacteria like E. coli, Haemophilus and Salmonella spp.
Florfenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. The active ingredient florfenicol is active against many Grampositive and Gram-negative bacteria isolated from domestic animals. It acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
In veterinary medicine, MEDIFLOR 10% is typically administered orally to cattle, pigs, and poultry. It is active against E. coli and Salmonella infections in poultry. In pigs acts against commonly isolated pathogens involved in swine respiratory disease, including Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella choleraesuis and Streptococcus.
Each 1 ml contains:
Florfenicol 100 mg
For oral administration via drinking water.
Poultry: 1 litre per 1000 litres of drinking water for 3 days.
