Description
NS-MED 50% powder is aminoglycoside antibiotic acts against bacteria e.g. Escherichia coli, effective treatment of enteric infections caused by bacteria sensitive to neomycin.
Indications
In veterinary medicine, NS-MED 50% powder is typically administered orally to cattle, pigs, and poultry. It is used to treatment of bacterial enteritis in calves, sheep, goats, swine and poultry caused by bacteria susceptible to neomycin, such as E. coli, Salmonella and Campylobacter spp.
Composition
Each 1 gm contains:
Neomycin 500 mg
Dosage
For oral administration:
Calves, goats and sheep: 1 gm neomycin sulphate per 50 kg bodyweight for 3-5 days.
Poultry and swine: 800-1000 gm per 4000 litres of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Note: for pre-ruminant calves and lambs only.
