OXYAIZER 30% Broad-Spectrum Antibiotic
OXYAIZER 30% is formulated of oxytetracycline in prolonged sustained antibacterial activity.
Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic active against wide range of Gram-positive and
Gram-negative bacteria, including Bordetella bronchiseptica, Actinomyces pyogenes, Pasteurella
spp, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. and E.coli., also certain species of Mycoplasma,
Rickettsiae, some protozoa and Chlamydia which is sensitive to oxytetracycline.
OXYAIZER 30% indicated for treatment or control of conditions caused by, or associated with, organisms
sensitive to oxytetracycline in cattle and sheep as some common systemic, respiratory, urinary, and local
infections as Pasteurellosis, pneumonia, septicemia, mastitis, metritis, keratoconjunctivitis (pinkeye) and the
control of enzootic abortion in sheep and cattle.
Each 1 ml contains
oxytetracycline as hydrochloride 300 mg/ml
By single, deep intramuscular injection. Cattle and sheep: OXYAIZER 30% can be administered
at the standard dose of 20 mg/kg (1 ml OXYAIZER 30% / 15 kg b.w.) once to obtain 3 to 4
days duration of activity or at the high dose of 30 mg/kg (1 ml OXYAIZER 30% / 10 kg b.w.) for
prolonged duration 5 to 6 days.
Meat: At the dose of 30 mg /kg b.w.
Cattle meat 35 days from the last treatment, sheep meat 28 days.
At the dose of 20 mg /kg dose: Cattle and sheep meat 28 days from the last treatment
Cow’s milk: 10 days from the last treatment. Ewe’s milk: 8 days from the last treatment.
Use an aseptic injection technique.
Don’t use animal products for human consumption during treatment.
Not recommended to be used for horses, dogs, and cats.
Not for use in animals suffering from renal and hepatic disorders.
Using oxytetracycline in late pregnancy may lead to teeth and bone discoloration.
