Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data Maizer collects through this website, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We collect only what we need, we do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we are

The website maizer.fr is published by Maizer, 6 Rue Fizeau, 92150 Suresnes, France, registered under 953 360 104 R.C.S. Nanterre. Maizer is responsible for the personal data collected on this website (the data controller). For any question about your data, write to info@maizer.fr.

What we collect and why

When you contact us (contact form): your name, e-mail address, company, activity and message, and your phone number if you give it. We also record the date, your IP address and the country it belongs to, to protect the form against abuse. We use this information only to answer your request and to follow up on it. Legal basis: the steps you ask us to take before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.

When you check a batch number (Check Batch page): the number you enter, the result, the page language, the date, your IP address and its country. We use this information to confirm that our products are genuine, to detect counterfeits and to see how the check is used. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our customers and our products.

When you visit the website: like any website, the server records technical data (IP address, browser, pages requested, date and time) to keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security of the website.

If you accept analytics cookies: Google Analytics measures how the website is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, how you reached the site), so that we can improve it. Nothing is collected this way unless you click Accept. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the Cookies link at the bottom of every page.

The country is worked out on our own server from the IP address; the address is not sent to another company for this purpose. We make no automated decisions about you.

Cookies

This website uses the following:

• pll_language: remembers the language you chose (English or French) for one year. It is needed for the site to work as you expect, so it does not require your consent.
• mz_consent: kept in your browser, it remembers your choice about analytics cookies for 6 months, after which we ask again. It does not require your consent.
• _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics): set only if you click Accept, for 13 months at most. They distinguish visits so that we can count them.

You can accept or refuse without any effect on your access to the site, and change your mind at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of every page. If you refuse later, the analytics cookies are removed. We use no advertising or social-media tracking cookies. Links to our social-media pages and to maps take you to those services, whose own privacy policies then apply.

Who can see your data

• The Maizer staff who handle your request or the batch checks.
• The technical providers that host this website and our e-mail, only to provide their service, on our instructions and under a duty of confidentiality.
• Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics), only if you accept analytics cookies, as our service provider.
• Public authorities, only when the law requires it.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with other companies for their own purposes. If a provider processes data outside the European Union, we make sure it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Google may process analytics data in the United States; such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on those clauses.

How long we keep it

• Contact requests: as long as needed to answer and follow up on them and, as a rule, no longer than 3 years after our last contact with you. The IP address is deleted after 12 months.
• Batch checks: 2 years. The IP address is deleted after 12 months.
• Analytics data (only if you accept): 14 months at most in Google Analytics.
• Technical server data: for a limited period, for security purposes only.

Security

The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS), its forms are protected against abuse, and only authorised Maizer staff can access the data collected.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to info@maizer.fr or to Maizer, 6 Rue Fizeau, 92150 Suresnes, France. We answer within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés), 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, www.cnil.fr.

Children

This website is intended for professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when the website changes. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
